Special Apps Alarm System - GPRS
What is it?
The GPRS Communicating Special Apps Alarm System (SAAS-GPRS) is our flagship security
product. In a nutshell, the SAAS-GPRS is a remotely communicating battery powered
wireless alarm system which can be installed in minutes and is remotely configured
and monitored. We believe it to be the most advanced, most reliable and easiest to
install alarm system designed for special applications on the market today.
How does it work?
The SAAS-GPRS system is made up of a range of components which communicate wirelessly
over a range of up to 200m. Everything including the control box is battery powered
with a lifetime of up to 1 year. All configuration of the alarm system is carried
out through our web based control and monitoring centre which also allows real time
viewing of alarm activity and reporting of all historical data. Specific events can
be sent to nominated individuals by email or SMS and alarm activations can be passed
on to an ARC for voice and keyholder response.
Detectors
The SAAS-GPRS system is compatible with our full range of wireless detectors ranging
from PIR motion sensing, active IR beams, smoke, flood and temperature sensing to
motion detectors. Up to 64 wireless devices can be used with a single control panel.

Arm / Disarm
The SAAS-GPRS system can be controlled in an number of ways. There are wireless key
switches, wireless control fobs and wireless iButton readers available. The wireless
iButton reader allows identification of different keys from the web based logs and
allows different keys to be enabled and disabled remotely. The system can also be
remotely armed and disarmed from the website. Please see the Security → Arm / Disarm

Ancillaries
A wireless siren unit can be connected to the SAAS-GPRS system which will sound for
1 minute in the event of alarm activation. All of the wireless sensors in the system
can also be programmed into our wireless receivers as well as the SAAS-GPRS control
box allowing for audio notification of specific events whether the system is armed
or not or integration into an existing alarm system.
A mains power supply is available for applications where mains power is available.
If this is used, nine months of battery back up is still available should the power
fail! And of course, you will be notified immediately if this should occur.
Response
There are a number of ways in which alarm events can be handled. We allow full live
monitoring of your alarm systems with audio alerts through our website - if you have
your own control room this may be all you need. It allows full monitoring of all
arm, disarm and alarm activity of a number of alarm systems from a single page. Different
types of events can also be sent to nominated individuals by email or SMS if required.
This can all be configured by you through our web front end.
We also have the facility to send alarm activations to an ARC for voice response
and escalation of required. We have relationships with a number of ARCs and can work
to integrate with others of required.
